Since the early 1990s an invitation-only conference called Arithmetic, Geometry, Cryptography and Coding Theory (AGC^2T) is organized every second year at CIRM Marseille (France). As the name indicates, the conference is dedicated to applications of algebraic geometry in coding theory and cryptography. This year the conference will take place 9-13 June. The algebra group at DTU is well represented, since Peter and Maria were both invited to this important event.
Even nicer is that Maria will be one of the plenary speakers! She will in fact give the first scientific talk on Monday the 9th of June about automorphism groups of algebraic curves in positive characteristic. You can find the abstract of her upcoming talk here.
